Shoreditch is the new place for the trendy, avante-garde group to go to. Many of the art galleries that used to be located in Hoxton have moved to Shoreditch, so it sometimes feels as if there are more galleries than there are people.
Not only are there art galleries but also fashion boutiques and hairdressers who specialise in the more cutting edge hair styles. Shoreditch also benefits from the overspill from the city and is the home to many artistic and creative companies.
The price of city fringe property in Shoreditch has risen dramatically and the opening of the East London Line extension has provided a massive boost for the area, increasing the transport links. Having said this, there is still considerable growth to be had in the Shoreditch area as the availability of reasonably inexpensive City fringe property is still good.
